Custodian Preservation Notice — Disclaimer

The Custodian Preservation Notice compiles the identifiers, on-chain trace, and honest-scope disclosures associated with a case into a single fingerprinted document. Its purpose is to give the receiving custodian's fraud, compliance, or asset-recovery team enough context to evaluate a recovery request under its own policies and applicable law.

PEGTrace does not contact custodians on your behalf, does not submit packets automatically, does not negotiate holds, and does not participate in the disposition of funds. The packet is a document; the recovery request is yours.

Submit packets exclusively through the receiving custodian's OFFICIAL recovery, fraud, or law-enforcement channel — for example, a custodian's published asset-recovery form, its fraud-team email of record, or its law-enforcement liaison. Never route packets through third-party 'recovery services,' unsolicited intermediaries, social-media contacts, or any party requesting up-front fees or seed phrases.

On-chain transactions cannot be reversed. A custodian may, at its discretion and consistent with applicable law and lawful process, place holds or return balances that remain within its control. It cannot 'un-send' a completed on-chain transfer.

Whether to act on a packet — including whether to hold, freeze, return, or take no action — is entirely at the receiving custodian's discretion, subject to its policies, contractual obligations, and applicable law. PEGTrace neither endorses nor predicts any outcome.

The packet does not identify a wallet's owner. Naming the owner of a receiving account requires the custodian's KYC records, obtained through lawful process such as a subpoena.
